Mitch has more than 35 years of health system pharmacy administrative practice experience with a focus on pharmacy leadership, practice model design, clinical IT systems and automation application, patient safety process design and implementation. His expertise helps clients make critical decisions on large-scale projects such as multi-facility consolidated self-distribution models, financial performance modeling and analysis, inpatient and outpatient pharmacy facility design, workflow and buildout, including USP Chapter <797>, <800> and FDA 503B compliance guidance. He is also adept at guiding clients through legal and regulatory compliance considerations; staff education and professional development; recruiting, retention and advancement programs; as well as performance improvement, process gap identification and action planning.
Before joining AmerisourceBergen in 2004, Mitch held leadership positions at Northside Hospital and a staff position at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
Mitch received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Auburn University, earned a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University, and completed an Executive Fellowship for Pharmacy Leaders at The Wharton School.
He is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), The Advisory Board, Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists (GSHP), and Pharmaceutical Fraternity Kappa Psi.
